I recently launched Bins.Ren, a free app available on both the App Store and Google Play, and I’m proud (and honestly a bit blown away) to say that it’s rated highly on both platforms.

What is Bins.ren?

If you live in Paisley, Renfrew, Johnstone, Erskine, Bishopton, or any of the surrounding towns in Renfrewshire, you know how frustrating it can be to keep track of which bin goes out when. That’s exactly the problem Bins.ren solves.

With just a few taps, you can check your exact bin collection schedule — no more digging through council websites or putting out the wrong bin on the wrong day.

I wanted Bins.ren to be more than just a calendar, so I packed it with helpful features:

Why I Built It

Honestly, it started because I kept forgetting my own bin days. I knew there had to be a simpler way, and I figured if I needed this, others probably did too.
